How Greys 2nd Chance Began
Greys 2nd Chance was founded in 2024 by Wendy Little after the closure of the greyhound rescue she had proudly volunteered with for more than 15 years.
When that rescue closed its Queensland operations, Wendy couldn't stand by knowing there were still greyhounds needing help.
Together with several dedicated volunteers who shared the same passion, she established Greys 2nd Chance so that greyhounds would continue to have a pathway from racing into safe, loving homes.
Today, that same commitment continues with every dog we rescue.
Our Mission
We believe every greyhound deserves the opportunity to live a life filled with kindness, safety and love.
Our mission is to rescue greyhounds, help them transition into family life and carefully match them with homes where they can thrive.
Just as importantly, we continue supporting our adopters long after adoption because we believe every successful adoption begins with ongoing support.
More Than A Rescue
When you adopt from Greys 2nd Chance, you don't simply adopt a dog.
You become part of a supportive community that is here for both you and your greyhound.
Whether you have questions during the first week or years later, we're always happy to help.
Because successful adoptions don't end
when the paperwork is signed.
They begin there.

Greys 2nd Chance Inc is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Registered charity since 22 July 2024.
Greys 2nd Chance Inc has been endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR)
from 28 June 2025.
This means eligible donations of $2 or more may be tax deductible in Australia.
